I believe this issue comes down to a problem that ECOS has had for at least as long as I've been here: the typical student doesn't care about ECOS, and ECOS has yet to figure out an effective way to deal with it.

So long as ECOS expects the average student to "come to them" to have influence, and as long as the average student puts forth no effort to do so, a schism between what ECOS does and what the students want is inevitable.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Rachel's and Jamaree's family, friends and Rachel's teammates. A senseless tragedy. Our son goes to school at Eckerd and knew Rachel and said she was very upbeat and always had a smile.
